To Itamarzinho, when he grows up

Baby,
I am writing you something many and many people may read before you are able to, but that will make sure you'll only read it when the timing is right - and will also give me the opportunity to receive some critics on it.
You know I am jealous of you. I've seen you grow up, I know how big your heart is and I'm scared you'll make wrong choices. But then again, you're entitled to some. Just make sure that when you find the right girl, not the one I keep saying is right, but the one which seems right for you, you'll grab her. That young lady that, when you look at her, your day glitters and euphoria and peace fill your heart, all at the same time. The girl who brings butterflies into your tummy and cares for you. Remember she must care for you, this will mean she may love you one day. Never settle. If she seems hard to find, carry on looking for her. Look for the girl who likes the things you do or at least understands the things you like. Look for the one which is calm like you and likes to talk to you. Plus, most importantly, seek for the one who truly loves God, who truly lives the way God wants, who truly gives Him the value and the place He deserves - you have no idea how important that is.
When I say she should speak English, French and Spanish, even though I may sound serious, that's all a piece of nonsense. Speaking any of that, or even Russian, means nothing. Knowing everything, or even being a genious, means nothing. What I want to say is that it may be a pretty cherry over a cake, but it certainly is no flour. She must speak the voice that goes silently and deeply straight to your heart and she ought to act beautifully, even if you are the only one who can see the beauty (inner and outer, as mum always taught us, ok?).
So, little one, when you find that lovely girl, make sure you don't let her go. And make sure you'll take good care of her. Remember that as strong as she might seem, she needs to be looked after. All women, baby, are like flowers. Some have grown in a nice soil without any problems, some have grown by themselves, some have spines, some smell good, some have been cut before and need special attention, some are colourful, and so on. Whichever your flower is, help her keep growing. And remember her, every day if you have to, that you are nothing more than a gardener. Like all Sunflowers turn to the Sun, for a shiny life she will have to turn to God.
I hope I'll like your Sunflower,
Do take your time,
Love you
